PSYONIC Placed Third in Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest

PSYONIC, a startup located in the Research Park's startup incubator, achieved third place out of 190 companies at the Second China (Jinan) New Growth Drivers International High-Level Talents Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest. Aadeel Akhtar, PSYONIC CEO and Founder, started the company in order to develop advanced prostheses that are affordable to everyone despite world location.

Interns Recognized at 2019 Summer Picnic and Intern Awards

Interns from around Research Park gathered on Thursday, July 25, 2019, for the Summer Picnic and Intern Awards. The Research Park community celebrated with food, games, and awards for the most outstanding interns of the year. Throughout the academic year and summer, interns gained valuable work experience while working on projects that positively impacted their respective companies. Of the 800+ interns working within the Research Park, less than 30 became finalists for the awards, and only 5 individuals and 1 group were awarded the winning prizes.

Airscout is in attempt to provide farmers alerts on their field's conditions by monitoring crop health from the sky. The company's Chief Operating Officer, Bob Coverdill, sat down with ciLiving Storyteller, Erin Valle on WCIA network to talk about the imagery and thermal maps captured by Airscout pilots. 

Coverdill states that to account for the farmers' diminished ability to walk through their own big fields, Airscout's aerial imagery enables farmers to take a virtual walk.

Each of the companies listed, has raised between $10 and $30 million in the last six months and has not exited via IPO or acquisition.
